I worked for many years in parks, open spaces and countryside management which provided valuable insights into the ways in which people use and relate to the green spaces around them.

During this time, as a hobby, I designed and planted gardens for myself, family and friends which led me in 2003 to focus on garden design as a new career.

A short introductory design course opened up a whole new and exciting world  to me and I embarked upon a 2 year HNC in Garden Design at Pershore College of Horticulture.

I graduated as the Design Student of the year in 2006 and formed my own company.
I regularly revisit the college to work with the design students and give talks to clubs and societies on design principles and garden history.

I now work as an independent professional garden designer based in Worcestershire with clients from within the Midlands and the Heart of England region.

Through my professional networks and contacts, I keep up to date with new developments in the profession and meet and share thoughts and ideas with other designers.
